Helpful tip: When cooking for your asshole friends, always drive across town and buy the mostly costly fish you can.

Imagine how guests will swoon when you tell them Janos Wilder taught you how to cook the bird this year. You will be one popular Thanksgiving host with such clout, and there's a good chance there will be fewer leftovers than you anticipated with this kind of deliciousness on the menu:

Roast Turkey Adobado with Smoked Poblano, and Portbello Stuffing, Chiptole Molasses Sweet Potatoes, Cornbread, Mushroom and Chorizo Stuffing, Gingered Jalapeño Orange Cranberries, Maple Syrup Gravy and Caramel Pumpkin Mousse.

Learn how to cook all of that at Wilder's Thanksgiving cooking class at Janos, the restaurant, on Saturday, Nov. 19. It's reservation-only, and costs $50. Call 615-6100 for reservations or more information.

Bacon and Craeggs at 601 N. Fourth Ave. has a new eating challenge that is going to give a lot of cardiologists the jitters. From the recently opened eatery's Facebook page:

Free Bacon And Craeggs Meal! 10 piece bacon plate, 6 sausage rounds, 6 eggs, 2 texas toast, 4 pancakes, and homefries (4 potatoes worth) Only thing is…has to be eaten on our patio in under 1 hr. Who’s game?

The ultimate challenge would be to finish this monstrosity and Lindy's on Fourth's OMFG challenge in the same day. But only a superhuman like Cardboard Shell could even consider such a thing, so I won't even entertain such a notion.

Leza Carter of Tucson's Village Farm says she spent this morning picking eggplant, okra, basil, lettuce and other veggies for a farmers' market she's holding at the project's harvest festival this Saturday. You can read more about the festival in this week's Noshing Around.

If you were going to head out grocery shopping anyway, it might be a nice place to stop in for a few things on your list. Have a good weekend!

Meet Gus Coliadis and his incredible bike-powered popsicle stand Cyclopsicle. Today was his first day sellling various flavors of frozen treats on the corner of Congress Street and Scott Avenue, which will be his permanent location for the next year or so.

As I write this my lips are still warm from one of the mango popsicles covered in chipotle-spiked chocolate. It was a tough choice being that banana-peanut-butter, coconut-lemongrass-ginger and salted-chocolate-with-pretzels pops were also on the menu.

Cordialis is originally from Chicago, where he worked as a florist before moving to Tucson with his girlfriend. He says frozen ice pops are "a good vehicle for delivering a wide variety of flavors and ideas." He says he got the inspiration for his new stand from places like Locopops in North Carolina.

A cyclopsicle sells for $2.50 to $3. You can keep up with Cyclopsicle and the fantastic popsicles it peddles over here.

Mango, chocolate and chipotle? Yes, please.

(BTW: I do realize this is not a food truck, but starting a new series called the Food Bike Diaries seemed ridiculous. Bon appetit!)

Chicken and Waffles at Union Public House has plentiful chicken, but even more batter than there is meat.

So after all that talk of Union Public House, I was excited to check it out for lunch. I mean, the one menu item that screamed at me was the Pork Belly. Who doesn't like pork belly? When prepared properly, it is melts-in-your-mouth delicious. And it was! The house-made pretzel bread was also a great complement to the dish.

BUT for $9, the serving was a bit small - two 2-ounce pieces served with veggies and some toasted bread pieces.

Last week, it was sort of news that a new website Midtown Row was offering to send customers two In-N-Out Double Doubles via overnight delivery for $56. While this sounds incredibly disgusting to me (frozen prepared burgers?), CNBC sports business reporter Darren Rovell gave the shipped product a 6 (with a perfect, fresh burger a 10).

La Cocina, the nice little restaurant inside Old Town Artisans at 201. N. Court Ave., debuts its new marketplace this weekend.

The new market is said to contain a nice selection of locally sourced goods, including fresh produce from local farmers. The grand opening takes place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5 and 6.

The press release announcing the event says the new market will be run by local musician Miss Lana Rebel - a.k.a. Lana Spilsbury.

There's more about La Cocina, which has been continuously adding improvements since the new owners took the reins, over here.

Last year, I provided what I thought was a helpful suggestion: steal the one-night-only Halloween theme idea of Lula Cafe in Chicago. I suggested that it would be a fun event for both the staff and the customer, I provided a link to a news story about Lula's previous incarnations, I did everything I could to kickstart the idea, short of buying a restaurant and doing it myself (which I don't have the credit or cash for, sadly).

But now, another Halloween has rolled past and Lula switched form for another fun day, this time into Taco Hell, complete with purple polo shirts and Mexican food celebrity Rick Bayless dressed as Satan. Lula stuck to their farm driven ideals, making what were likely quite delicious takes on chalupas and taco supremes, and everyone had a good time. Wouldn't something similar be a ton of fun at The Cup, Downtown Kitchen + Cocktails, or even Kingfisher? Just somewhere? Oh well. A blogger can dream.

I mentioned last week that I'd be back with more on what's going on in the local food truck scene, so I'm back.

I'll be working up a few Food Truck Diaries pieces in the coming weeks, but some of the new trucks that have been popping up are too good to wait that long for. So, for the time being here's a beautiful food truck that specializes in desserts and here's another new one that makes Cuban food. There are others, but I'm not at liberty to discuss them just yet.

I also got an e-mail recently from a guy that works for the Pima County Health Department. He's one of the people who inspects food trucks, which means he's about as well-connected as they come when it comes to mobile food, and he wants to help get a food truck festival going.

This is getting good. Check back in the coming weeks for more on all this.
