This future with mutants ruling the universe that Eric and Arnie describe this week while reviewing Avengers X-sanction frightens me. Also, I think Arnie got a haircut.

Hey, Cynthia's back and Eric let her pick the comic! Justice League Dark is apparently the Hot Topic version of the the normal JLA, so that certain appeals to someone.

This week, in the first of two videos from the guys at Heroes and Villains, Eric and Arnie discuss Fables 112 and wish you a belated Merry Christmas.

Fans of Eric and comics will want to stop by Heroes and Villains tomorrow between noon and 2 pm as he (along with Jason Pedersen and Ken Wright) sign and sketch things with purchase of their new edition of Zombies vs. Cheerleaders.

Eric's wearing makeup this week. Consider yourself warned.

In other news, Eric Esquivel of Talking Comics fame has two comic books out this week (Blackest Terror and Zombies Vs. Cheerleaders #5), available everywhere comics are sold, but in particular at his home store, Heroes and Villains.

Not permanently, but for this episode of Talking Comics with Heroes & Villains, Cynthia breaks down the gender barrier in local video-based comic book reviews. Also, they discuss Defenders #1 and the "lamer Marvel heroes".

This week, Eric and Arnie from Heroes and Villains discuss "Ghostbusters #1", which conveniently picks up the narrative following the second film. However, it doesn't appear that the comic comes with a theme song by Bobby Brown, so I'm not exactly sure how to feel about the whole thing.

Nope, just some woman wearing an incredibly deceiving slanket. Somehow, I assume most of these are being sold to people with $33.18 to spare (plus shipping) and a fetish they never thought could be made real, but I could be wrong.

Eric describes part of this comic as "American Idol for superheroes" and there's an one-armed man involved. There's more to Eric and Arnie's review than that, but I don't want to spoil it. They brought notes this week, so they're SUPER PREPARED.

Also, Talking Comics co-star Eric Esquivel has a Kickstarter running for a comic he wants to publish called Thor: Unkillable Thunder Christ. In one day, he hit his goal, which is pretty amazing but you can still get some cool stuff by kicking the guy a few bucks and then he can make more comics, which also might have blasphemous overtones (I mean that in the best possible way, I promise). Plus, you could say you helped fund a comic called Thor: Unkillable Thunder Christ and how often does that opportunity come around?

Much to my disappointment, this is not a graphic novel involving the Wilson sisters playing rock and roll and fighting crime in Seattle. Instead, Eric and Arnie talk about hugging, Fight Club and some other stuff.

I appreciate the Harvey Pekar reference, guys, I really do. This week, Eric and Arnie from Heroes and Villains discuss "Avenging Spider-Man," which is worth checking out for the art by Joe Mad, who came from the video game world. Also, there is a conversation about body image near the end.
