We added new categories and changed the process a little bit (hopefully for the better?) and now the Best of Tucson® ballot is online for your voting pleasure.

What sort of new categories, you might ask? Well, stuff that will probably matter to you, like Best DJ, Best Local Weatherperson, Best Bartender, Best Place to Eat Lunch Downtown and SO MUCH MORE. It should be fun.

You've got until April 30 to vote in the first stage of the process and surely we'll remind you about fifty times about that deadline, but why not just go ahead and vote today? You'll feel better just getting it done and then telling all of your friends that they should vote as well.

Also, Jon Justice fans, here's your annual opportunity to stick it to the liberal Weekly. Enjoy.

We've been previewing some of the bands you can see at March Radness (ONE WEEK AWAY OMG OMG), but hey, let's give some tickets away, so you can see the show yourself.

Frankly, I'm not entirely sure why you haven't purchased tickets yet...they're only $15, which is what you'd pay to see someone like Iamsu! or YACHT or Pinback anyhow, but you get to see all three and a whole lot more, but hey, people and their decisions can be a mystery.

We'll be giving away tickets in a variety of manners ahead of the show, but first off, we'll give a pair today for tweeting a link to this post or any of our others about March Radness. Just include us (@tucsonweekly) and throw in the hashtag #marchradnesstucson. We'll pull a winner today around 5 pm and notify them via a tweet. If you don't win today, we'll have more tickets to give away every day next week (OR YOU COULD BUY THEM CHEAP-O).

Good luck!

Tucson's monthly gay happy hour group G3 Tucson is hosting a fundraiser to combat SB 1062 tonight from 5 to 10 p.m. at The JunXion Bar, 63 East Congress Street. 100% of the bar sales will go to printing and promotional expenses to fight the anti-gay legislation.

Individual liberty, justice and equality for all Arizona citizens is threatened by SB1062 which would allow and protect discriminatory acts by individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations under the guise of "Religious Principles." It is primarily aimed at LGBTI people but is a threat to all.

Rodeo weekend is coming to an end, so what better way to end it with the fourth annual Rodeo Days Arts Celebration. The event starts at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Plaza Palomino, 2960 N. Swan Road. There will be live music by Mariachi Herradura, Arizona Dance Hands and Sonoran Dogs. There will be over 40 fine art, leather, metal, wood, furniture, jewelry artists showcasing their work. Enjoy wine tasting and craft beer by Thunder Canyon Brewery and Nimbus Brewing Company for sale. Local eateries Vero Amore, Café Francais and BBQ Rush will be there.

Don't miss the quick draw-off between Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and Mayor Bob Walkup at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The quick draw referee David Fitzsimmons invited me to compete in the drawing competition, so come and watch me scribble stick figures with some local personality you know and love. I hope they put me against Jim Click or Lute Olsen. It's payback, fellas.

It's free to attend and there will be $6 horse drawn carriage rides.

Wingspan, Tucson's LGBT community center, is calling for a protest today against SB1062 at 4 p.m. with a rally at the community center's headquarters, 430 E. Seventh St., followed by a march to the governor's Tucson office at 400 W. Congress St.

Under the dubious name of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the bill allows businesses to refuse service to anyone based on the owner's religious beliefs. Next stop is Jan Brewer's signature. The LGBT community is a clear target of this bill. Show up.

It can be hard out there as a single person. You made it through the overly sentimental bullshit of Valentine's Day, so that's a plus and maybe you're the kind of person who's fine dancing on your own, but if you're looking for the comforting feel of companionship, the Pima Animal Care Center has a deal for you: a singles-only dog-walk/cat-cuddle event on Sunday, February 23.

Here's the deal...the shelter is closed for deep cleaning that day, so they need to get the animals out for some socialization and fresh air. Animals need love and attention and so do you, so why not make it all happen at once? Meet up in front of the adoption center at 4000 N. Silverbell for some "light refreshments" and let the bonding over a shared interest in animals begin!

The center requests likely attendees email [email protected] to RSVP.

The Rialto Theatre went all out yesterday with the concert announcements, with tickets going on sale this Friday for Foster the People (show on April 16), Los Lobos (April 25) and Neon Trees (June 4). Those shows are certainly exciting, but, at least for me, the big news is that mean guy/wildly offensive comedian Anthony Jeselnik is scheduled to be here on May 3. If you are easily offended or have a soul, Jeselnick might not be your thing, but he's definitely one of the hottest stand-up comics right now, so that he's performing here is kind of a big deal.

Sadly, Jeselnik's recent series on Comedy Central, The Jeselnik Offensive, didn't work out, but we'll always have our memories of Latino Voices:
