I'm not saying there are going to be superhero costumes available, but I am saying you should bring any used superhero outfits your kids have outgrown. Capes are always fun.

Kids: One minute you're walking out of the mall with a stack of new pants and the next day there's an extra inch of ankle peaking out below the hem of their jeans.

Combat retail pricing and your growing collection of barely worn children's clothes at the Kids Clothing Swap this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fluxx Studio & Gallery (690 E. 19th Street, Suite 130).

Like a typical clothing swap, folks will bring kids clothes, shoes, and costumes they no longer wear (or for some of us, have never even worn!) and go home with new-to-them items.

UNLIKE most swaps, all genders are welcome and there will be a DIVERSE selection of sizes for infants through tweens.

Kiddos will be kept entertained with face-painting, a play area, and a fun mini-fashion show while you shop the swap and pick out some killer new outfits for them.

We know shopping is exhausting, so there will be plenty of healthy, tasty, kid-friendly refreshments (and adult-friendly beverages!) to keep you going!

Admission is $10 with clothes to swap, $20 without—though the event description notes no one will be turned away due to a lack of funds. Proceeds benefit the Body Revolution.

Have some clothes you'd like to donate in advance? Reach out to the organizers on Facebook

Cyndi Lauper, eighth wonder of the world, stopped by the Late Late Show earlier in the week to bless us with a new song about what Girls Just Wanna Have.

Feelin' pregnant? Monday's Full Frontal with Samantha Bee broadcast a report on "crisis pregnancy centers"—antiabortion clinics that often masquerade as abortion clinics and legitimate pregnancy centers.

“A crisis pregnancy center is a fake abortion clinic,” Vicki Saporta of the National Abortion Federation says in the segment. “They want women to believe there are long-term negative consequences, like they won't be able to have children, like they will suffer from 'post abortion stress syndrome,' or that they would have an increased risk of breast cancer.”

Saporta says there are about twice as many of these "fake clinics" in the U.S. than there are actual abortion clinics.

It's April 12, which means Sexual Assault Awareness Month is almost half way over. There are still plenty of opportunities, though, for you to celebrate the month throughout the Tucson community.

Here's one. To commemorate Sexual Assault Awareness Month, raise awareness and advocate for survivors of sexual assault, the UA's Students Promoting Empowerment and Consent and the Women's Resource Center will put on their one of their largest annual activism endeavors, Take Back the Night, this evening.
The event kicks off with a survivor solidarity march at 5:30 p.m. in the Women's Plaza of Honor and continues after the march with guest speakers, special performances and a "speak out" where survivors will anonymously and publicly share their sexual assault experiences.

SPEAC and the WRC invite anyone and everyone to march, speak and generally "reclaim the night." Check out Take Back the Night's Facebook page for more TBTN-specific info, and check out the interactive map below for information regarding the rest of SPEAC's Sexual Assault Awareness Month affairs.

Jessica Williams, national treasure and feminist superhero, had a segment on Wednesday's Daily Show highlighting the struggles trans people face on a daily basis.

In the segment, Williams interviews trans woman Meagan Taylor, who was once reported to the police for being "a bit unusual," and a panel of other trans people about the bigotry they experience on a daily basis.

Williams also talks to Colorado chaplain and lawmaker Gordon Klingenschmitt, who decided to let this combination of words come out of his mouth while on camera:
“They [the transgender community] not only want to be confused with their own identity, they want the rest of us to be confused with them. Now they want the government to join them in that pretense. They’re making us into liars.”
Nooooope.

Hey, ladies: Ride sharing is about to become a whole lot less creepy, thanks to the new startup, Chariot for Women.

The ride-sharing service, set to go live on April 19, is "driven by women, exclusively for women," according to the app's website. It operates similarly to Uber or Lyft, but only women, girls and boys under 13 can request a Chariot, and all drivers are, unsurprisingly, women, Dose reported. This is meant to make us ride-sharing ladies feel less at risk of being violated by male Uber or Lyft drivers. Nice.

Chariot founder Michael Pelletz, a former Uber driver from Boston, told Dose he realized ride-sharing, both driver and passenger-wise, isn't always the safest option for women after he had a scary experience driving a generally sketchy and equally hostile customer.

"What if I was a woman?" he said. "How would a woman handle that situation, especially when I was so nervous myself?"

Pelletz told USA Today that any women applying to drive with Chariot must go through the "most stringent" background check process in which every applicant will be fingerprinted. As an extra safety precaution, passengers will be sent a safe word to ask their driver to ensure the person picking them up is actually with Chariot.

One thousand women have already signed up to drive and ride with Chariot. Though legal concerns regarding the company's employment of women only have circulated, Pelletz told USA Today his lawyers assured him "his company is running a legal business model that fulfills a market need."

Download Chariot for Women off the Apple App Store or on their website here, and get ready to ride share (almost) stress free, for once.

Last week, North Carolina governor Pat McCrory signed a bill authorizing blatant discrimination of transgender individuals by allowing cities to force them to use public bathrooms against their gender identity. And this isn't an isolated thing. Bills like this are floating around state legislatures all over the country.

Not only are these bills cruel and ignorant, they also make no sense. Here's why:

Reproductive rights come up a lot during election season and not all politicians have great things to say. Esty shop owner Sarah Palatnik decided to make a statement about anti-feminist politicians and make periods better, all with a pair of underpants.

Introducing Bloody Marys: Underpants made of leak-proof, moisture-wicking, absorbent, anti-bacterial fabric with attachable heat packs, to make periods more comfortable and eco friendly. But those super-cool features are not the main draw of Palatnik's underwear line. That would be the Blood Dumpsters:
What’s a Blood Dumpster?! Just a U.S. politician who has tried in the past or who is currently trying to pass legislation that hinders women’s reproductive rights, and in so doing has had his or her face wind up in the crotch of a pair of Bloody Mary undies, for YOU to bleed all over! As a bonus, $3 of every Bloody Marys sale goes to a Planned Parenthood located in the state governed by your chosen Blood Dumpster. Have fun, look cute, and be totally badass on your period with Bloody Marys!

In a world where media inundates curious and equally knowledge-absorbing millennials with strict guidelines of what it means to be a truly modern, intersectional and all together bad-ass feminist, it's easy to decide that a person is only a feminist if they fit x, y and z standards.

The topics discussed by Baby Boomer, Gen X and Millennial women and men last night at the UA's VOX: Voices for Planned Parenthood's "Multi-generational Feminism" chat at Revolutionary Grounds debunked the idea of these standards, though. Through discussing five intersectional feminist themes, participators supported the idea that a social movement as complex as feminism can't really require with a set of rules for inclusion. The five themes in questions:
