Hi, I'm Jaxx!
I'm a cute 2.5-year-humold boy and I'm looking for a home! I'm very playful, I love people and I get along well with other dogs.
I'm really smart and know how to sit like a good boy for treats. I would benefit from some doggy brain games to keep me busy in my new home!
If you're looking for a cute dog to join your home I might be a perfect fit!
I need a home, but if you aren't looking to adopt you can still help homeless pets like me by donating to HSSA's fund to build a new home!
They are asking people like you to help them raise 3 million dollars! Click
here for more information about the new shelter and how you can help today!
Hope to meet you soon!
Lots of love,
Jaxx (836064)

No, the buzzing you hear isn't the iPhone in your pocket. It's a honey bee—and the impact it has on pollinating the crops you eat is worth its slightly obnoxious presence.
The importance of bees to our ecosystems and to the development of food we eat is no secret, but the preservation of the insects gained an increase in support recently since six species of yellow-faced bees joined the
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Endangered Species List. The Southern Arizona Work Space will be hosting a class, The Basics of Beekeeping, on Saturday, March 11 from 1-3 p.m. to teach people the craft of beekeeping or what to do if they find a swarm or hive in their own backyards. Admission is $20. As a sweet incentive, there will also be a honey tasting.
Beekeeping may be becoming a lost art—and an important one too. If anyone needs more convincing of why saving honey bees is important, check out these fun facts according to
RVC Outdoor Destinations:
-Their tiny wings can flap up to 200 times a second, allowing them to buzz around up to 15 mph.
- Much like
a last call might look like in a downtown club, communication takes form in a frantic "dance" called a "waggle."
- Bees can recognize a human face. So yes, they can actually see your terrified expression as you run away squealing.
If you still need encouragement to push aside your fears, just look up
#savethebees on Twitter and read what much funnier people have to say about the issue.

Hi, I'm Torque!
I'm a very silly, 3 year old big boy! I was transferred from a different shelter, but have quickly become an HSSA staff and volunteer favorite! I'm a short little guy, but am very powerful. I love to play and know how to sit for treats! I would do well in a home where I can get daily exercise, play time and maybe even some doggy brain games!
If you have a current dog bring them over to HSSA Main Campus at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd. to do a doggy meet and greet or give them a call at 520-327-6088 ext. 173 to check on my status and availability!
I need a home, but if you aren't looking to adopt you can still help homeless pets like me by donating to HSSA's fund to build a new home!

Hi, I’m Mordecai!
I’m a handsome 1.5-year-old big boy and I need a new home! I was found as a stray and brought into the care of HSSA by a good Samaritan.
I love meeting new people and am very silly. I weigh over 70 pounds, so I’m looking for a home that is able to give me ample space, exercise time and daily love!
Don’t forget that you can bring your current dogs over to HSSA Main Campus to do a doggy meet and greet and make sure that everyone gets along.

Hi, I'm Rita!
I'm a shy 1.5-year-old female and I need a home. I was found as a stray and brought into HSSA by a good Samaritan, who micro chipped and vaccinated me! I'm ready to find my forever home and I can't wait, because I am very scared in the shelter.
I get along well with other dogs and love meeting new people! If you're looking to rescue a sweet dog to join your home I might be the perfect fit.

Spend the night of Saturday, Feb. 25 from 6-9 p.m. helping the sweet companions at Pima Animal Care Center find their forever homes and getting crafty at the same time. Win-win.
An art class sponsored by Tipsy Picassos will teach you how to paint this "Starry Night Dog" masterpiece for $35. All art supplies are included in that price, and food and drink will be available for purchase at the event. Pima Animal Care Center receives $10 of every purchase.
You can purchase your tickets here:
https://www.paypal.me/tipsypicassos/35, and make sure you write you're planning to attend "Starry Night Dog" in the notes.
What could be more fun and rewarding than helping the pups at PACC who are as adorable as the one you'll be painting? Maybe only adopting a new best friend, too.

Hi, I'm Atticus!
I'm a handsome 3.5-year-old boy and I need a new home! I was found as a stray so the Humane Society of Southern Arizona doesn't know a lot about my history, but they do know that I am very playful and cute!
I've been getting along well with my kennel mate by initiating play and roughhousing a little bit. I'm a big boy so I need a home that has ample space for me to get my daily exercise! I would benefit from a having a family that enjoys going for walks, runs, hikes or bike rides!

Hi, I'm Delores!
I'm a pretty 3.5-year-old mama dog and I need a home. I was found as a stray so the Humane Society of Southern Arizona doesn't know a lot about my history. They do know that I love other dogs and I love to run!
I'm part of the Jog-A-Dog program so I get to go on an extra long run with volunteers and it's my favorite part of the day! I'm looking for a home where I can get daily exercise, play time and maybe a doggy friend to hang out with!
