I was hoping to find a fresh video of Nandi, the Reid Park Zoo's cute baby elephant, but had to settle for this clip of a Fennec Fox chasing after soap bubbles. But after the jump, you can see an older clip of Nandi splashing around in a pool, in case you missed it when it was first posted last month.

While we're waiting for more votes to be counted in the tight races around the state, we thought we'd bring you this adorable video of Nandi, the Reid Park Zoo's new baby elephant.

We haven't shared much about Nandi, our very own baby elephant, lately, possibly because we're still a little salty that readers of the Star got to pick the name (blergh), but hey, here's one minute and seventeen seconds of tiny pachyderm joy courtesy of the San Diego Zoo.

I don't understand what's happening, but as wild animals intruding into suburban neighborhoods go, these angry kangaroos are more far interesting than the javelinas that walk down my street sometimes.

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona presents Savannah
Reference No. 778001, 2 Years Old, Doberman Mix, Female
Savannah is a beautiful, elegant sweetheart who loves to make you smile. It’s hard to believe that Savannah was found as an emaciated stray in March and has been patiently waiting for a home at the Humane Society ever since. This staff and volunteer favorite adores her human pals but she can be a little picky about her canine companions. Savannah would be perfectly happy as the only pet, but she’s open to meeting any easygoing dogs who wouldn't mind allowing her to be Queen of the household. Savannah would be delighted to introduce herself to you in hopes that you’ll fall in love with her charming personality and gentle demeanor. Won’t you give Savannah the chance to steal your heart? HSSA is located at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd.

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona presents
Riley, reference no. 788874, 11 Months Old, Pit Bull Mix, Male
It’s hard to imagine a dog more darling than Riley. And this outgoing youngster has a precious personality to match! Riley is full of charm and would be delighted to fill your life with a little more joy and spontaneity. Riley was found by a very kind lady who took him in and tried for several days to track down his family. Surprisingly, no one stepped forward to claim this extraordinary pup. During his stay, Riley was the perfect guest. He got along with the neighborhood cats, household dog and was respectful of everyone’s belongings. Riley’s hero described him as a very loving and polite companion. Although she couldn't keep him, Riley’s finder wanted to offer him the best chance at finding a loving family and brought him to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. She checks in on him from time to time and can’t wait for the day Riley finds his perfect person. Could it be you? HSSA is located at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd.

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona presents:
Duke - #782406 – 5 Years Old – Miniature Pinscher Mix – Male
“Oh boy, I can hardly wait!” Duke gets so excited at the thought of a forever home. This special little guy is the perfect companion for someone looking for an easygoing gentleman with lots of personality and charm. Duke gets along great with other dogs and people who take the time to get to know him. However, he can be a little overwhelmed by young children and would probably do best in an all-adult home. Duke is currently relaxing in foster care and has been an outstanding guest! He lets you know when he needs to go outside, always respects your belongings and is completely happy to nap away the afternoon. He’s going to make someone very happy and proud! If you’re interested in meeting this sprightly underdog turned wonderdog, please call the Humane Society of Southern Arizona today at (520) 327-6088 and ask about Duke!

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona presents
Deuce - #784057 – 6 Years Old – Pit Bull Mix – Male
Nobody does fun like Deuce! This goofy playmate gets a kick out of chewing on toys and going for adventures. He’s active, outgoing and always interested in learning new things. Deuce will need a very special person willing to train him using visual cues, because he is completely deaf. However, Deuce is highly motivated, focused and eager to impress. Deuce is 100% housetrained and great with other dogs who can tolerate his enthusiasm. Just no young children, please (Deuce tends to knock kids over with his rambunctious play style). With tons of energy and ambition, Deuce would no doubt excel at agility, rally obedience, flyball and other positive reinforcement sports with plenty of guidance. Could you be the one to help him reach his full potential? Check out darling Deuce today at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona! The HSSA is located at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd.
