I give you Mr. LeTourneau, who from what my friend in Baltimore tells me is a typical Ravens fan. His loving wife decided she might as well document her man's lunacy during Sunday's AFC playoff game against Denver, just in case the poor children stuck in this home ever became the subject of a custody battle.

Please watch the following three videos, then present them to whoever it is that thinks you go overboard when watching the UA basketball team or some other favorite team.

First, in reaction to Baltimore tying Denver during the third quarter:

Then, his inability to 'TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!' after the Ravens tied it again in the final minute of regulation:

And, finally, after Baltimore picks off Peyton Manning in overtime to set up the eventual winning field goal:

Sports fans, please bookmark this blog to save and show the next time you're accused of being too 'into' the game. You're welcome.

Terrell Stoglin was an absolute stud in high school. He led Santa Rita to the state championship EVERY season during his four-year varsity career for 2006-2010. He won a state title with the Eagles to the 2010 Class 4A-II title, and along the way gained enough notoriety to garner scholarship offers from numerous top-level Division basketball programs.

Stoglin ended up signing with Maryland, and as a freshman averaged 11.5 points per game. He nearly doubled that to 21.6 ppg last season, but not long after the Terrapins' year ended he was given a one-year suspension by the school for violating some school rules.

That prompted the quick-but-small — 6-foot-1, 185 pounds — Stoglin to declare himself eligible for the NBA Draft. Had he been picked and made a team he would have been just the fourth Tucsonan to reach the NBA.

Instead, Stoglin has ended up in Greece, where since signing with Athens Ilysiakos in late November has averaged 26.4 ppg. But, for the most part, he's been forgotten by the basketball world.

That is, until this popped up on his Twitter feed last night:

stoglin.png

That was in reference to Maryland's putrid performance in Sunday night's 54-47 loss at Miami.

I don't know who all was bashing Stoglin beforehand, but after throwing his old teammates under the Twitter bus, I'd expect a lot more Stoglin-bashing to occur.

Glad to see former Tucson prep stars are finding ways to stay relevant ... good or bad.

Ride-on-Tucson-Graphic1-950x555.jpg

Want to ride bikes with Patrick "McDreamy" Dempsey or pro cyclist Tom Danielson? You can next week during the Ride On Tucson event. Check out the story for all the details.

This bicycle amenity is getting very little love from cyclists. See what it does and why they don't like it.

No more getting lost on The Loop. The county is adding direction signs along the river paths. See what they look like.

Arizona recently released an updated bicycle and pedestrian plan. Now officials are looking for your comments on the plan. Get all the details here.

What happens when a Tucson family with an infant and toddler go to San Diego and only use public transportation? Not much other than wishing Tucson's public transportation worked as well.

If there's one thing that can be gleaned from the freshly released 2013 football schedule for the University of Arizona, it's this: us fans are going to be spending A LOT of time on campus in November.

The Pac-12 Conference formally announced the entire league's schedule today, ranging from a pair of games on Thursday, Aug. 29 all the way through the conference title game Dec. 12 at (!!!!) the home site of whichever division champ has a better record.

In between the UA will host six games at the newly renovated Arizona Stadium, starting with the bi-annual visit from Northern Arizona on Aug. 31.

The next home game is Sept. 14 against Texas-San Antonio, a likely gimme of a contest that many of the Wildcat fans who went to Las Vegas the weekend before for the UA-UNLV game can skip as part of the post-road trip liver and wallet recovery plan.

After that, though, it'll be quite a while before the Wildcats are home. More than a month, in fact.

The Classical, a sports site seemingly designed to make you feel simultaneously uncool and stupid (strangely, I sort of mean that as a compliment), has determined that this week is Kenny Lofton Week, for reasons I can't quite discern. However, as Mr. Lofton is a former Wildcat, PCL-championship winning Tucson Toro and a member of the Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame (although not a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame quite yet, since the institution didn't manage to elect anyone this year; Lofton received 18 votes), I guess it makes sense that someone would honor the guy. Of particular interest to Tucsonans, Adam Doster's piece on Lofton's "Wild About the Cats" years.

The college football world started noticing Ka'Deem Carey for the first time in early November when he bulldozed over a REALLY bad Colorado defense to set University of Arizona and Pac-12 conference single-game rushing records, en route to leading the nation in rushing and getting some early buzz for the 2013 season's Heisman race.

And with that increased spotlight, of course, comes additional scrutiny into each and every piece of one's existence, whether it involves a helmet and cleats or not.

Carey is finding this out the past week as all of Tucson is becoming aware of what appears to be a bad breakup with a 23-year-old woman that, according to police reports and court records, is carrying his child and has gotten an order of protection against the 20-year-old Canyon del Oro High School graduate.

The sophomore running back is expected to appear in Tucson City Court later this week on some form of domestic violence charges stemming from a Dec. 23 incident at a home northeast of the UA campus.

Police reports indicate Carey got into a tussle with the ex-girlfriend that evening, allegedly over his desire to bum a lighter so he could smoke something that's probably not NCAA-sanctioned. The situation got physical, and when police arrived Carey was gone, but he later returned and had marks on him (as did the woman) indicating something happened between them.

UA athletic officials are keeping quiet on the situation, not surprisingly, letting it run its course through the courts before commenting or taking any action.

Highlights from the Wildcats' 60-57 win over Utah yesterday. The Cats had a comfortable lead throughout most of the game, but nearly let it slip away in the final minutes. Arizona remains undefeated after 14 games this season, but it appears the Cardiac Cats are determined to keep things interesting until the final whistle.

The Cats next travel to Oregon to face the mighty Ducks. Tip-off is 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, and the game will be televised on ESPN2, which is sure to be a relief to DirecTV subscribers who had to find a bar to watch yesterday's game on the Pac-12 network. (The Range had an enjoyable late lunch at Union Public House.)

Here's your chance to watch highlights from the Wildcats' astonishing come-from-behind win over Colorado last night. By just showing Arizona's baskets, I think the UA Athletics team takes away from the evening's drama. As much fun as it was to watch the comeback, let's hope the Cats get into the game earlier when they face Utah on Saturday afternoon. Tip off is 3 p.m. at McKale.

Any consideration about whether my budget could handle season tickets for the 2013 version of University of Arizona football went out the door this afternoon when a very enterprising UA ticket rep locked me into two seats to what all Wildcat fans hope will be a Rose Bowl-bound entertaining team to watch.

But not just any seats, mind you. No, this guy snatched up two of the snazzy new North End Zone seats, complete with chair backs and armrests. No more bench-induced backaches or concern that the fatty to my left has half a cheek on my piece of the aluminum over here.

It wasn't until after I'd paid a $200 deposit ($100 per ticket) that I started to consider just how much extra I was paying to upgrade my comfort level, not to mention my status above the bench-warming masses.

The total price for each season ticket for the new seats in the lower half of the still-under-construction North End Zone is $285, which includes $150 for the seat itself and a $135 'priority' amount that varies based on the level of seating one chooses. The same applies for most basketball season tickets.

That comes to $570 for the season, or $95 per game for the 6-game home schedule. That compares to the $500 I paid for two seats just to the south and east — in fact, I'm pretty sure I can start a food fight with whoever gets my old seats, assuming I've warmed up my arm first like the kid in the Cam Newton NFL.com commercial — this past season.

But that was for eight contests, or $62.50 per game. And that schedule included games against rival Arizona State, plus USC and a marquee non-conference foe, Oklahoma State.

The 2013 schedule isn't out yet — expect it to be announced Monday along with the rest of the Pac-12 Conference — but it certainly doesn't have the same flair that 2012 had. The UA is lined up to host Oregon, UCLA, Utah and Washington State for conference games, and the school had previously announced a Sept. 14 home date against alphabet school UTSA (Texas-San Antonio for those scoring at home).

The sixth home game is almost certainly going to be Northern Arizona, Arizona's bi-annual, early-season whipping boy to the north. The guy who sold me my tickets wouldn't go into specifics, but did say 'people who know the UA should know who we're playing; it's the same one we face around that time every two years.'

Arizona has hosted NAU in either the first or second week of the season in every odd year since 2005.

So, until Labor Day weekend comes and I get my first chance to settle into my new Arizona Stadium seat I'll have plenty of time to wonder whether the ability to lean back as opposed to leaning forward is worth a nearly 50 percent increase in how much I'm pay for use of said seat back each week.

What do you call the opposite of the buzzer beater? The Range isn't sure, but we were close to losing hope tonight until the refs threw out Colorado's last-second three-pointer and sent the game into overtime. After trailing by 16 in the second half, the Cats pull off an astonishing 92-83 win over Colorado to remain undefeated.
