Wait, we thought Bristol was moving to the town of Maricopa, not to Los Angeles? Guess Hollywood is a better setting for a reality show:
Bristol Palin has scored her own reality series. The daughter of Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska, will star in her own series on BIO.According to BIO, the currently untitled show will follow Palin as she moves from Alaska to Los Angeles with her baby, Tripp. She goes to work at a small charity and moves in with fellow 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant Kyle Massey and his brother, Christopher.
"Bristol is the kind of personality BIO is drawn to," David McKillop, executive vice president of programming, A&E Network and BIO Channel, said in a statement. "Her personal life has been playing out in the media for several years but this will be the first time she's opening up her real life, with her son and her friends the Massey Brothers."

An idea: let's just make Saturday Night Live a thirty minute show. A Stefon skit, a clip by the Lonely Island, and an unfunny sketch based on half a premise just for the memories.
The Lonely Island (feat. Michael Bolton): "Jack Sparrow"
And Stefon's tips for Mother's Day:

The other day, I was talking with some friends about the best comedians on Twitter, and I mentioned Anthony Jeselnik, who's about as dark as comedians get these days. To illustrate his abilities, I quoted one of his best tweets, posted last November. (The joke is after the jump, and it's pretty out there. You've been warned.)

If you couldn't stay up until midnight last night, here's Calexico's performance of "Crystal Frontier" from Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Happy Cinco de Mayo! Tucson's own Calexico is performing tonight on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! at 11 p.m. on KGUN 9. If you happen to be in L.A., they're also doing a show with indie mambo sensation Sergio Mendoza y La Orkestra and Mariachi Luz de Luna at the Echoplex. Details at Casa de Calexico.

To be honest, the fewer occasions that I'm forced to watch Oregon State football games on Fox Sports Arizona, the better:
The conference’s football games will be shown on ABC and Fox — a combined five will be in prime time each season — and on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and Fx. Basketball will be shown on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and Fox Sports Net. ESPN will also carry a package of about 15 Olympic sports.ESPN and Fox will also rotate the conference’s annual football championship game, while the basketball tournament will alternate between the ESPN networks and Fox and Fx.
The Pac-10’s new channel will carry at least 350 sports events. The conference is also creating a digital channel, like ESPN3, to carry at least 500 events annually, and a properties division to handle sponsorships.

Michael Chihak has a lengthy interview with Gov. Jan Brewer on KUAT-TV's Arizona Week. Oh, and I'm on there, too, to talk about Brewer's vetoes, including her rejection of Sen. Frank Antenori's city-destroying SB 1322. Tune in at 8:30 p.m. on Channel 6 or watch it online at AZPM.org.
On Sunday, May 1, Laura Milkins will begin her 2,000 mile walk home to her mother's house in Grand Rapids, Mich. The walk will be broadcast online 24 hours a day as she treks across the country and talks with people along the way. That footage will also be edited into a weekly online TV show.
Originally from Michigan, Milkins has lived in Tucson for the past six years and is a performance artist. She has done numerous other projects, including one focusing on people in Mexico City, which Milkins titled Walking Stories: Mexico City.
Walking Home: Stories from the Desert to the Great Lakes will focus on community and social interactions.
To learn more about Milkins' Walking Home project, or to watch the live-streaming video, visit the Walking Home website.

Tonight's marks the end of the Michael Scott era on the American Office, and while the show has driven me nuts on occasion, the last few episodes with Michael and Holly's romance and the rest of the cast saying goodbye has been remarkably touching for a sitcom. Somehow The Office over time has become the fourth best show on Thursday nights, but I'll miss Steve Carell's character.

While we wait for Jon Stewart and company to relentlessly mock the Baja Arizona movement, he's doing the sort of satirical work we expect from the Daily Show, destroying Florida congressman Cliff Stearns for proposing that 9/11 responders who are receiving money for their health care be checked against a terrorist watchlist:
