30 Minutes or Less

While the producers would like you to think otherwise, this ill-advised comedy seems to be loosely based on the sad story of Brian Douglas Wells, the pizza-delivery guy who robbed a bank with a bomb around his neck a few years ago. That bomb eventually went off after Wells claimed he was forced to do the robbery after thugs put the device on him. In this stupid film by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland), Jesse Eisenberg plays a pizza-delivery guy forced to rob a bank after two thugs (Danny McBride and Nick Swardson) attach a bomb to him. The result is neither funny nor interesting, proving once and for all that you probably can’t make a rip-roaring comedy about a pizza guy wearing a bomb around his neck. Aziz Ansari gets a laugh or two as Eisenberg’s pal helping him out with the whole bank robbery thing. That’s one of the very few positive things to be said about the movie.
