Imagine Crash, but with guns instead of a car crash. There’s a fine cast, including Forest Whitaker, Donald Sutherland, Marcia Gay Harden, Garcelle Beauvais and Linda Cardellini, but first-time director Aric Avelino and first-time screenwriter Steven Bagatourian don’t quite have a handle on pacing, and the story is caught in a weird middle ground between cautious and preachy, leaving it more or less neutered.
