Blade II

There’s so much intense violence and action in this film that it actually becomes boring. Like a drum solo by a one-handed drummer, the fighting and explosions take on a dull, persistent rhythm that’s almost hypnotic in its regularity. The experience is somewhat akin to watching someone else play a video game: a series of meaningless, violent actions are repeated with minute variations, leaving the viewer with no sense of involvement. Still, if you like watching vampires explode, this is definitely the movie for you.
