Bride & Prejudice

I’m thinking maybe this was meant to be a children’s movie, as that would explain the incredibly simplified plot and characterizations. Imagine Pride and Prejudice transported to modern-day India, add in a lot of Bollywood-style musical numbers, and then take out all the subtle comedy of Austen’s original, and replace it with lots of really hot chicks and dudes. If you like looking at guys with their shirts off singing and dancing with kohl-eyed ladies, and you don’t mind sitting through a lot of painfully bad dialogue, perhaps you’ll enjoy Bride and Prejudice, but keep in mind that at no point does the script rise above the level of the stupid pun that makes up the title.

Bride & Prejudice is not showing in any theaters in the area.
