Buffelgrass and fountain grass are invasive species representing a serious fire hazard to Sonoran Desert plants and wildlife. An information workshop takes place from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, at the City of Tucson Ward 1 Office, 940 W. Alameda St. The session is sponsored by Tucson Clean and Beautiful, the Southern Arizona Buffelgrass Coordination Center and Saguaro National Park.
