Cherish

The fetching Robin Tunney gives such a fine performance in this smarting up of the romantic comedy genre that it’s a real pity that almost no one will see it. Sadly, by mixing naturalistic drama and intelligent dialogue into the formula, Cherish has relegated itself to art house screenings. Oh well. If you want to see something cute and charming that isn’t simultaneously insipid and pro-stalker, you’d do well to check out Cherish. Also starring the ubiquitous Tim Blake Nelson and the artfully creepy Jason Priestley.
