Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky

This French film is a waste of time. Very little happens in the first 20 minutes, and there are way too many moments when the film just stands still. It’s a real shame the action is so sporadic, because these are, obviously, two key figures in the development of modern Western culture—the influential and challenging Russian composer Stravinsky (Mads Mikkelsen) and the legendary designer Chanel (Anna Mouglalis)—who were rumored to have had an affair in the 1920s. That alone should be enough to spark a good film, but a spark is one of the many things this movie sorely lacks.

Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky is not showing in any theaters in the area.
