Crossover Summer Community Arts Festival

The Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance and the Catalina Baptist Association present Live bluegrass and Western music from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, at Morris K. Udall Park, 7290 E. Tanque Verde Road; a Viva! Performing Arts mariachi concert with ballet folklorico from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, June 9, at John F. Kennedy Park, 3700 S. La Cholla Blvd; an oldies night, featuring classic cars, live oldies music, food and children's activities, from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday, June 10, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1825 N. Alvernon Way; a block party featuring free food, games, a jumping castle, music and give-aways from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 10, at Morningside Baptist Church, 5902 E. 29th St; and a community arts festival from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, June 11, at DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center in Reid Park, 1100 S. Randolph Way. Activities include art vendors, live music, food vendors, inflatable water slides, jumping castles, face-painting, games and art activities for kids. All the week's events are free.
