Two Mr. Moms get up to their Adams
apples with pint-sized home-wreckers in
this calculated comedy by director Steve
Carr. Funny man Eddie Murphy co-stars
with his partner in day-care crime (Jeff
Garlin) as down-on-their-luck dads that
recently got laid off after failing to sell
vegetable-flavored cereal while dressed
as rapping and break-dancing broccoli.
Now the former papas of produce need
some quick cash to support their
all-American families in their white-picket
fenced-in homes and think that taking
care of tykes is the easiest way to do so.
This becomes far from easy when the
menacing midgets drive lawn mowers in
the backyard and drink bubble-making
liquid, and the jealous Nurse Ratchet
from the Harvard of day cares uses her
every evil ploy to sabotage her
competition. Writer Geoff Rodkey includes
every ingredient for a successful crowd
pleaser with the right amount of
flatulence, toilet humor and Eddie Murphy
slapstick the under four-footers will enjoy.
