Dragon Wars

This film offers clichéd dialogue, an overused good-vs.-evil plot, gasping-at-straws scenarios and bland acting. Amanda Brooks yawns her way through as a reincarnated South Korean warrior whose reincarnated lover saves her from a King Kong-size dragon that she transformed from a serpent 500 years ago. Right. But the second half of this South Korean hit by writer/director Hyung-rae Shim is worth the wait, thanks to its Michael Bay-style action and intense special effects as the CGI dragon wreaks havoc and destruction in downtown Los Angeles.
