Earth

This is a shorter version of the epic BBC TV show (Planet Earth), released under the Disney brand name, that features some amazing nature footage. It’s G-rated, so the footage of cheetahs chasing down antelopes ends before the bloody stuff. It’s all good to watch, but it’s just a repeat for those of us who own the DVD and have watched it five times. Still, I can’t get enough of that great white shark going airborne as it eats a seal, or the bird of paradise doing his little dance that says, “Have sex with me!” James Earl Jones narrates here, and it’s a little strange, because he’s the voice of Darth Vader, and that could scare children. If you have the DVD already, skip this one, unless you really want to see that shark jump on the big screen, in which case, have at it.
