The Ramones probably had the lowest
talent-to-influence ratio of any rock band
in history. They also had a fascinating
group dynamic, one best on mutual
hatred, political differences that went from
Nazi-right to mushy-left, and a tendency to
screw each others girlfriends for what
can only be described as "the hell of it."
Thats the sort of thing that makes a
decent rockumentary, so its no surprise
that audiences have given End of the
Century two tattooed thumbs up. Its a
weird and very incomplete look at a
not-so-well known band that changed
music, if not forever, at least for 10 or 20
years.
