Hats Off to Big Jim!
A celebration with entertainment takes place from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, in honor of Big Jim Griffith. The Tucson Meet Yourself Folklife Festival, which he founded, honors his being named a National Heritage Fellow 2011 by the National Endowment for the Arts, and receiving the Bess Lomax Hawes award for significant contribution to the preservation and awareness of cultural heritage.
