Heroes Day

Southern Arizona Residents thank firefighters, paramedics, Border Patrol Agenst and other first responders on Heroes Day, Thursday, Oct. 17. Breakfast is free for first responders at Armitage Wine Lounge and Cafe, in La Encantada, 2905 East Skyline Drive. Three Responders of the Year are named at a press conference that also features keynote speaker Dr. Peter Rhee, chief of trauma, critical care and emergency surgery at UA Medical Center, at 9:30 a.m., also at La Encantada.
