It's a Disaster

When some couples get together for a Sunday brunch, they find out they are more than likely going to die a horrible death very soon. So they try to work out their relationship problems, drink a lot, etc. Writer-director Todd Berger could’ve had a lot more fun with this setup, but he makes a rather boring film, saved sporadically by the antics of David Cross as a man who has a very strange way of dealing with impending doom. Too much of the film feels like your standard romantic dilemma movie, with the whole apocalypse thing just thrown in there as an added spice. Seth Rogen’s This is the End, with a similar premise, is coming later this year, and that one has a lot more laughs in its trailer than this film has in its entire running time.

It's a Disaster is not showing in any theaters in the area.
