They pretty much coined the term
"forgettable" to describe movies like this.
Ben Affleck struggles valiantly to save his
career and Liv Tyler is as sweet as
sugar-coated heroin, but neither can
remove the schmaltz from this tired
recipe: Single dad and painfully wise
daughter face life and love and hardship
and joy and toilet flushing issues.
Jersey Girl is not a bad movie, its
just in no way a good or original one.
Perhaps this indicates that filmmaker
Kevin Smith has finally grown up and
made the mature decision to sell out
completely. I wish him luck.
