Las Tres Sisters

Las Tres Sisters

With their lives unraveling around them, three Mexican American sisters reunite, after years of estrangement, to complete their beloved Grandmother’s pilgrimage through rural Mexico. MARIA (Marta Méndez Cross), SOFIA (Virginia Novello) and LUCIA (Valeria Maldonado), grew up as best friends in an unstable household. Their Abuelita and the story of her famous pilgrimage was the only thing they could rely on as kids. Now, as adults, a rift between Sofia and Lucia has split the three sisters apart. Maria, who has just discovered a painful secret, reunites

her sisters, in their Abuelita’s honor, on a spiritual walk through Mexico.

With no hiking experience, limited cell phone reception and an old map, the sisters walk the sacred trail to Talpa de Allende stumbling on a variety of characters who help them reconnect with each other and themselves. The magic of Mexico fills them with adventure and hope. Yet, as Maria attempts to keep her secret, the tension between Sofia and Lucia takes a turn for the worse. With the help of Kin (Cristo Fernandez), a local with a dark past, they must work together through their differences in order to reach the end and find their Miracle.
