This religious holiday movie by Christian production company Gener8Xion Entertainment analyzes the meaning of priesthood. Director, writer, co-producer and star David Wall—a Robert Redford look-alike—plays a strict, by-the-Big-Book man of the cloth who is shipped to Cape Cod, Mass., to shut down a financially unstable congregation. However, his rigorous religious ways take an ironic turn when he’s revealed as being less than pure. On the other end of the scale is a rule-bending, beer-drinking father of the fallen church (co-producer Sean Patrick Brennan) with a big heart and the people’s best interests in mind. With “low budget” written all over it, this mediocre movie studies an intriguing issue, but will easily get overlooked this holiday season.
