Redline

This pet project of real estate bigwig Daniel Sadek stalls before making it into second gear. Leggy newcomer Nadia Bjorlin stars as a mechanic by day and wannabe rock star by night who gets introduced to the illegal car-racing underworld by a fast-talking rap producer (Eddie Griffin). The jiggle factor and testosterone levels are high as Bjorlin’s character gambles her way through the cleavage and chrome so she can avenge her dad’s death and get money to kick-start her recording career. Throw in a random kidnapping subplot, a psychotic meat-fearing money man (Angus Macfadyen), a token war hero and ample boob shots, and you have this miserable excuse for entertainment, incompetently directed by stuntman Andy Cheng.
