This would be the perfect children’s movie if it didn’t include scenes of naked dolls banging together in a mime of sex. Wait, isn’t that exactly what children do with their dolls anyway? Team America is the brainchild of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of South Park, and includes all of that show’s crudeness and hilarity, plus some of the most amazing marionettes since the old Thunderbirds Are Go! series went off the air. It tells a crazy story wherein America has taken upon itself the role of world policeman and performs its duties with a maximum of carelessness, violence and poor planning. Zany! Parker and Stone include something to offend everyone, plus a host of great musical numbers. So if you want to see puppets engaged in destruction and non-gay male-on-male sexual activity, this is the film not only for you, but for child inside you who used to melt his GI Joe toys with a magnifying lens.
