The 11th Hour

Stock footage showing destructive tornadoes, starving refugees, scorching heat, pollution and drought is combined with talking heads to highlight our dependency on fossil fuels, obsession with waste, environmental ignorance and complacency. Writers/directors Nadia Conners and Leila Conners Petersen use these to demonstrate our march toward an inevitable doomsday; however, a slight silver lining is revealed with “green” solutions, from using solar energy to purchasing energy-efficient products. Although no new information, statistics or suggestions are provided, it still helps to be reminded of what we need to do now—and what will happen if we don’t act.
