The Bounty Hunter

Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler make an agonizing and unconvincing screen pair in this routine road comedy that goes nowhere. When Aniston’s journalist character fails to show for a court date because she is investigating a lead, she is pursued by a bounty hunter (Butler) who just happens to be her ex-husband. The ridiculous and unlikely premise isn’t helped by the fact that the two have no chemistry; I found myself wishing that they would just go their separate ways. Aniston has some comedic chops, but is often lousy at picking her projects. Butler drives me crazy with his shitty American accents.

The Bounty Hunter is not showing in any theaters in the area.
