The Corporation

What I think is most impressive about the Bush administration is the way they’ve pushed forward a Stalinist agenda while pretending to be conservatives. It’s all based on eliminating the distinction between private enterprise and governance. And if you want to see how this is happening, you should check out The Corporation, which details, in its somewhat overly long run-time, the wild growth of corporations as international powers which have displaced public institutions in governing the world. Interviews and insights from such diverse sources as Noam Chomsky, Milton Friedman and King George VI (OK, he just shows up in a stock shot standing next to Queen Elizabeth, but it’s cool because he was king) brighten up this rigorous look at what’s happening to the amoral entities to which (or is it “to whom”?) we’ve given rights, privileges and control of our lives.
