Teen angst and demonic possession unite in this mild PG-13 horror flick. As she struggles to fit in at her new prep school, Molly Hartley (Haley Bennett) lives with the horrific memories of her psychotic mother stabbing her in the chest with scissors. She also hears voices, hallucinates and has frequent nosebleeds. Doctors suspect a brain tumor; after all, the 17-year old could not possibly become the spawn of Satan on her 18th birthday. Could she? Although cheesy dialogue dominates the films 86-minute running time, director Mickey Liddell throws in enough gasp-inducing thrills to make teenagers forget that they couldnt get into the more gruesome R-rated horror movie in the theater across the hall.
