The touching and inspirational true story of selflessness, faith and
humanity as told in the memoirs of John Groberg is brought to the big
screen, thanks to first-time director Mitch Davis. Christopher Gorham
assumes the lead role as the Idaho farm boy who follows his Mormon beliefs in a life-changing mission to the Kingdom of Tonga during the 1950s. Through overseas correspondence to his beloved girlfriend, played by Anne Hathaway, we learn of the catastrophic tidal waves he endured, the tropical maladies to which he was exposed and the cultural differences he saw past in order to create an unbreakable bond with people he never knew existed in a place he never even imagined. The Other Side of Heaven truly is just that.
