Tucson has become a model for re-diversifying the American diet. Dr. Gary Nabhan, Kellogg’s Endowed Chair in Sustainable Food Systems at the UA’s Southwest Center, highlights how public agencies, educational institutions, non-profits and micro enterprises are collaborating to address issues concerning food justice, democracy and heritage within Tucson’s food deserts.
