What has happened to the romantic-comedy genre? Last year was not exactly great for romcoms, and 2010 is shaping up to be just as bad. Valentine’s Day is a quasi-rip-off of Love Actually, only with 99 percent less charm, as it completely wastes the talents of good actors. Ashton Kutcher is actually quite charming as lovelorn florist Reed, but the movie fails due to a listless script. Most of the jokes fall terribly flat, and subplots that are meant to make your heart melt end up feeling forced.
