Apparently kids are tired of singing Oompa Loompas and superhero high schoolers. They are actually craving to see animated homing pigeons in pilot helmets thwart Nazi falcons to help British troops become victorious in World War II. At least thats what director Gary Chapman and the Mouse House are hoping for, since this is the bizarre premise of the latest Disney CGI kids flick. The brightly colored animated makeshift barracks of old soda cans, not to mention the always perky and determined pigeon protagonist, will dazzle the target audience. Meanwhile, the older crowd forced to endure this supposed family fare might get a desperate laugh from the countless fowl puns (no pun intended). However, theyll most likely see this movie for the bird-brained mishmash that it truly is.
