Vegrandis Gala

Vegrandis, a fundraiser for children's programs in the spirit of Japan's Tori-No-Ichi (Day of the Rooster) Lucky Rake Festival takes place at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2; $75. The event features food tastings from six restaurants, cocktails, Japanese fan dancers, a silent auction and a torchlight performance by Odaiko Sonora, among other entertainment. The gala is in conjunction with the museum's exhibit Netsuke and Diminutive Carvings From Japan, which continues through Sunday, Dec. 8.
