What's Your Number?

There was no reason (outside of money) to make What’s Your Number, and there is certainly no reason anyone should block out a couple of hours to watch it. The premise is alarmingly simple. It could, in fairness, be an OK subplot for a stronger story, but it can’t stand on its own: After reading an article about women with more than 20 sexual partners being less likely to marry, Ally (Anna Faris) starts to panic: She’s made the beast with two backs with exactly 20 men. Rather than add another, she looks up all of her exes to see if any of them stand out, and enlists the help of her very masculine, very single friend (Chris Evans—Captain America himself, for crying out loud). You can only imagine how that works out.
