White Chicks

When two Paris Hilton-type girls are unable to make a trip to the Hamptons—a trip that was to be monitored by the FBI—two black agents (Shawn and Marlon Wayans) go undercover as the white women. Perhaps this premise would have worked, had the film’s make-up people not failed miserably. The Wayans end up looking like Star Trek aliens, and it’s impossible to buy the notion that they would fool anybody. This might’ve been forgivable if director and co-writer Keenen Ivory Wayans had delivered laugh-worthy material but, he too, fails miserably. Women should actually be pissed off at this film, because the depiction of all things feminine is quite hateful. Subplots involving a psycho-stalker wife and a shallow television reporter are insulting. Toilet humor abounds, as it often does in a Wayans movie. It’s never a good thing when your film’s best scene is an explosive diarrhea sequence.
