More than 400 people flew in planes,
gliders, helicopters and hot air balloons
over 40 countries during the past several
years in order to capture the majestic
flights of various birds in this
awe-inspiring, Oscar-nominated
documentary. From the Arctic to the
Amazon, geese, cranes and pelicans fly
thousands of miles each year while
periodically stopping to engage in playful
Nutcracker-like dances, unique courting
rituals and predatory feeding habits.
Although the minimal narration and
sparse captions have little educational
value, the amazing close-up and
sweeping aerial shots of these feathered
fowls will take your breath away.
