Thirty student compositions are performed over three concerts, at 7 p.m., Friday; and at 2 and 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 3 and May 4; $5 each concert. Members of the TSO String Quintet play on Friday night; and and members of the TSO Chamber Orchestra play both Saturday concerts, sight-reading and workshopping young composers' works, and inviting them to make changes before a second performance, which is recorded for the composer to keep. Friday's concert is at the Catalina Foothills High School Auditorium, 4300 E. Sunrise Drive. Saturday's concerts are at Tucson Symphony Center, 2175 N.
