Masquerade Mania!

Batucaxe raises funds for Tucson Carnaval 2011 with a Batucaxe performance, DJ dance jams, interactive dance demonstrations and rhythm and dance circles from 7 to 11 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 22. Colorful, creative and expressive mardi-gras style costumes, masks and headdresses are encouraged but not required. A cash prize will be awarded in a King and Queen of Carnaval costume contest. $10; $5 teens; free children younger than 12. Food and drinks are served at vendors' prices; beer available with ID.
