624-2333. Continuing through June 21: Directions: Point of Fracture, an installation by Amy Zuckerman combining photographs and tape recordings of the families of murder victims. Continuing through August 2: El Alma del Pueblo: Spanish Folk Art and its Transformation in the Americas, a folk-art exhibition of more than 300 objects depicting the enduring Spanish influence on Latino communities in the Americas. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for seniors and students, and free for children under age 12. Admission is free for all on Tuesdays. CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. Upstairs Film is currently accepting submissions for the new short film screening series, Mixed-Media Mondays, at the Club Congress. CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. The Desert Botanical Gardens announces a call for entries for the third annual Art In Bloom exhibit. Participating artists are required to submit for-sale works inspired by the Southwest desert environment, valued from $25 to $2,000, as well as one work valued at $125 for the silent auction. CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. Encroachment: Nowhere to Hide, a national juried exhibition inspired by urban sprawl in the Sonoran Desert, seeks entries in all media from artists 18 and older. CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS. T/PAC Community Gallery announces pre-submission meetings for memorial artwork for Tucson House, a residential facility for older adults and those with disabilities. The $30,000 commission is supported by the Community Services Department. There is a pre-submission meeting for prospective participants at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Tucson House, 1501 N. Oracle Road. Complete proposals are due June 30. Complete proposals for the Freedom Park commission are due June 11; proposals for the University Transit Hub Project are due June 15. ARTISTS' WORKSHOPS. Tucson/Pima Arts Council. 240 N. Stone Ave. Atlatl, Inc., in conjunction with T/PAC, presents a series of three summer workshops intended to assist Native artists with the following topics: Marketing Indian Arts, Portfolio Development and Developing an Artist's Statement or Résumé. The first workshop, Marketing Indian Arts, meets from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 12 and 13. Cost is $20 for both days. Pink Adobe owner Jean Thomasson announces a series of summer art workshops at the gallery, including furniture and glass painting, ceramic sculpture, drawing faces, doll making and wheel-thrown pottery. WAREHOUSE WALKS. Take a tour of Tucson's Historic Warehouse District with The Tucson Arts District Partnership. Tours run the second Saturday of each month, and meet at 8:50 a.m. in the lobby of the Hotel Congress, 311 E. Congress St. Group size is limited, with RSVPs requested by 5 p.m. the Thursday prior to the tour. Participants should dress comfortably, and plan on being outdoors.
