Listings AFRICAN DANCE. Learn the movements of dance from Guinea, Senegal, Nigeria and Afro-Brazilian and Cuban regions with teacher Denise Hawthorne Bey. You'll also learn the intricacies of the music, and the traditional songs and their meanings. Classes meet at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. Cost is $10 general, $8 for students, and $5 for kids grades K through 12. The location of the classes has recently changed. Call 623-8231 for new location information.
ARGENTINE TANGO. John Dahlstrand and Kathy Miller teach Argentine tango from 3 to 5 p.m. every Saturday. Classes meet on the UA campus in the Ina Gittings Building, Room 130. AUDITION NOTICE. The Isis Dance Theater Company is holding auditions for intermediate to advanced ballet, jazz and/or modern dancers over age 30 for forthcoming fall and spring productions. The company is also looking for actors and singers over age 30 for an original, one-act musical production. Auditions are by appointment only, and will continue until all positions are filled.
