BOOKMAN'S KIDS CLUB. Bookman's. 1930 E. Grant Road. Starshine's Mini Marionette Moments is a demonstration/workshop from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, September 13, with a booksigning at 2 p.m. The demonstration explores how simple puppets and marionettes are made, using the book Let's Talk About Puppets! SUNDAY SCIENCE. Flandrau Science Center, on the UA campus. 621-STAR. In partnership with the UA Extended University, Flandrau offers science courses for preschool and early elementary school children on Sundays through November. Course times for children age 3 to 5 years are
2 to 3 p.m.; courses for children 6 to 8 are from 3 to 4 p.m. The subject for September and October is astronomy. Geology courses will be offered in November. TUCSON CHILDREN'S MUSEUM. 200 S. Sixth Ave. 792-9985. Beginning in September, The Wisdomseekers program returns, with middle schoolers teaching the younger public crafts from various cultures. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 12, make a Navajo Dreamcatcher and a Mayan Glyph; or join the Saturday Artworks painting party from 1:30 to 3 p.m., and use a paint in squeeze bottles to create a picture. From 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, September 13, witness Volcano Mania!, an experiment with small-scale volcanic eruptions, volcanic rocks, and hands-on magma-like materials. Since Sunday, September 13, is Grandparents' Day, all grandparents receive free admission. Kids can bring their grandparents and make a craft together from 1 to 4 p.m., with refreshments available. Regular fall hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and noon to
5 p.m. Sunday. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing. Museum admission is $3 for children 2 to 16, $5 adults, and $4 seniors, with the third Sunday of every month free for all. "After school special" admission from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday is $2 per person.
