String players and percussionists especially needed. Auditions are not necessary. The orchestra rehearses from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Tucson High Magnet School, 400 N. There are no auditions, but students younger than high school age should have the recommendation of their music teacher to participate. Registration fee is $30. sing, no auditions required, meets from 7 to MUSICIANS WANTED. The Catalina Chamber Orchestra seeks experienced orchestral musicians for the 1998-'99 season. Call 624-0170 to schedule an audition.
STRING PLAYERS WANTED. The Civic Orchestra of Tucson,
a 60-piece volunteer symphony orchestra starting its 24th season,
needs violin, viola, cello, and especially bass players. Come
to a rehearsal and get acquainted at
WEST AFRICAN DRUM. Learn the rhythms of Guinea and
Mali in a relaxed atmosphere. Beginning and intermediate classes
are now forming. Hour-and-a-half classes meet once each week.
Cost is $40 per four-week session, or $12 per class. Registration
